South Carolina Traditions Mallard Print
This painting was entered in the 2001 South Carolina duck stamp competition. A mallard drake is shown with a familiar S.C. icon: a palmetto tree silhouette and crescent moon. The still life includes drake and hen Wildfowler decoys.

This is the print that started Robert Hickman down the road as a wildlife artist. It is the first wildlife piece he ever did. This black/white print has a wild turkey as the main subject with various turkey calls and shotgun shells in the foreground. This is also the first print in the S.C. Traditions series.
